Christ Lutheran Church is pleased to welcome Pastor Dennis Bux as our new pastor.

Pastor Dennis Bux is a graduate of Christ Seminary in Exile in St. Louis (AELC).  He pursued post-graduate studies in the area of Old Testament.  He was a teaching assistant during those post-graduate years.  His first call was as Missionary-At-Large, starting a congregation in the Kansas City, Missouri area.  His next call meant a move to Michigan where he served at Peace Lutheran in Southgate first as Assistant Pastor then as Associate Pastor.  From Southgate Pastor Dennis became Senior Pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran in Livonia.  Pastor Dennis’ call before coming here to Christ Lutheran was as a Pastor/Redeveloper at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Auburn Hills. 

Pastor Bux has served on a number of Synodical committees, ELCA National Committees, as well as many community groups.  He was also a consultant for Church Consultants Group in Dexter, Michigan. 

Pastor Dennis has two children, Zachary (28 years old) and Christine (23 years old).  He has a grandchild, Jacob (2 years old).  He is currently divorced and lives in Monroe.  Pastor Bux likes to read, walk, play tennis, travel and eat M & M’s.  Ask him about his award-winning recipe, “Desk Top M & M’s.”
