Youth Activities

A lot of attention is given to the youth at Christ Lutheran.  We have three different youth groups that have both regular meetings & special activities, where we focus on nurturing and growing faith, building a caring community, and service to others.  We also emphasize that we can have fun while growing in faith in God.

·   Kids of the Kingdom is the elementary youth group for all of the children in Kindergarten through the 5th grade.  We meet every other month during the school year.

·   The Luther League is the name given to the combined Middle School & High School Youth groups.  Currently, both groups meet every other Sunday during the school year.  There are also special activities for these two groups scheduled throughout the year.  These activities include (but are definitely not limited to):

o       The Michigan Gathering (for the High School Youth)

o       The Toledo Youth Quake (for the Middle School Youth)

o       Mission Projects (Habitat for Humanity, Adopting a Family at Christmas, etc.)

o       A Mystery Dinner

o       Congregational Euchre Tournament

o       A Living Nativity

·   Prayer Partners is another youth ministry program at Christ Lutheran.  The object is to bring the generations of our congregation together and to let the youth know that there are people in our church that care enough to pray for them on a regular basis.  The Luther League Youth are partnered with an adult (not related to them) from the church.  The adult partner commits to pray for the youth until they graduate from High School.  The partners are brought together in the fall and again in the spring for the “Prayer Partners Banquet.”
